Weekly Astrology for December 12, 2016 by Chris Flisher
Now that the election has passed and Saturn and Neptune begin to drift away from each other we can look back and see what their untimely alignment has brought to us. In this case we were facing the square, one of the most difficult aspects in astrology. While the jury is still out on the current shift we are witnessing, the simple fact that we were under the influence of a radical form of illusion is becoming readily apparent. Never before in the history of the United States have we witnessed an election cycle such the one we have just endured. Inaccuracies, false news reports, scandals, and corruption have been the churning fodder of the last 15 months. When we glance backwards many years from now we may be able to point to a place and time when everything that we thought was normal, changed. There hasn't been a single area of protocol in the election process that has not been unprecedented in scope, tone, and delivery. Have we entered a new age? Are we seeing clearly? Why don't the old rules apply any longer? Where do we go from here? These and many more questions are the direct result of the Saturn/Neptune square that we endured all throughout the election cycle. We have been handed a decision that weighed duty against delusion. It is likely that we will feel the effects of this season for decades and we may never be able to return to a time when such atrocities aren't the rules of the game.
