Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1, Sherborn, invites friends and neighbors from Sherborn to attend an Eagle Court of Honor for Will Cardi Kadison and Justin Michael Sullivan. These young men have recently completed all the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout, and will receive the award at the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony to be held on Sunday, May 7, at 2 p.m. at the Pilgrim Church in Sherborn. The rank of Eagle is the highest award in Scouting and is earned by less than 4 percent of Scouts.
These two Scouts have earned at least 21 different merit badges, including thirteen Eagle-required badges. Each Scout has also performed many hours of community service and has organized and carried out an Eagle Leadership Service Project for the community with help from fellow Scouts in Troop 1.
Kadison replaced a wooden sign that had fallen into disrepair in the Michael Lisnow Bird Garden at Pine Hill School, and built steps on a steep path leading to the upper part of the garden to improve its accessibility.
Sullivan designed and built a message board to provide a more convenient and noticeable spot to hang an Automated External Defibrillator at Fessenden Fields in Sherborn.
In addition, both of these Scouts have held numerous leadership positions within the troop and have participated in high-adventure activities.
These are the latest two Eagle Scouts from Sherborn Boy Scout Troop 1, which has been serving the town of Sherborn for more than 80 years. The troop is composed of boys from grades 6 through 12 and is led by an elected Senior Patrol Leader. The troop is supported by many active adult volunteers and is financially self-supporting.
