On Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Sherborn Council on Aging’s last garden party of the year, guests had a chance to meet a very old Sherborn resident.

After lunch at Woodhaven, guests headed to the nearby cemetery, where Susan Tyler, a member of the Sherborn Cemetery Commission, unveiled a headstone for Benjamin Whitney that had been buried under layers of grass for more than 100 years.
