PROVINCETOWN — A public forum to discuss the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum’s funicular project, co-sponsored with the town, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Provincetown Schools auditorium at 12 Winslow St.

The presentation will include an update on the proposal to build a funicular that would connect Bradford Street to the PMPM property on High Pole Hill. PMPM Executive Director K. David Weidner and members its board of trustees will talk about design, the status of the permitting process and a timeline for construction. The development team, which includes Coastal Engineering Company of Orleans; Hawk Design of Sandwich; Brown, Lindquist, Fenuccio & Raber of Yarmouth Port; and attorney Lester Jay Murphy Jr., will provide an overview of the project and information on engineering, design and construction.

Town Manager David Panagore and Assistant Town Manager David Gardner will attend, along with the board of selectmen, historic district commission and members of the conservation commission. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions. —KW
