John A. Henry Trust Needs Assessment

The Provincetown Human Services Committee will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the COA Multi-Purpose Room at the VMCC, 2 Mayflower St, Provincetown, MA 02657, to hear public comment on the needs assessment for the FY 2020 Human Services Grant Program and for the John A. Henry Trust Fund for underprivileged children in Provincetown.

The mission of Provincetown's Human Services Grant Program is to assist non-profit agencies and organizations in maximizing available resources, through local grants, to meet needs identified by the community by providing services to local residents, particularly those of low- and moderate-income and those who are uninsured or underinsured.

The Board of Selectmen established the John A. Henry Trust Fund to be used exclusively for the care of underprivileged children living in Provincetown.

The work to be done under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and tools for mobilization and demobilization to the Winslow Street Tank II site, interior chemical cleaning of the tank, repair of pitted areas of the tank surface, spot welding at existing weld seams, surface preparation, interior spot painting, and exterior spot cleaning and painting; and removing and replacing existing tank appurtenances that include the overflow gap critter screen, threaded connection for the telemeter transmitter, telemetry cabinet, steel ladder cage, and finial roof vent and all other necessary and incidental appurtenances to complete the work as specified. PUBLIC NOTICE

The Town of Provincetown proposes to file an Application for Federal Financial Assistance with the USDA - Rural Development. This application for financial assistance will be for funding under the Rural Utilities Service, Part 1780, Water and Waste Loans and Grants (CFDA 10.760) and is anticipated to be submitted by October 1, 2018. The financial assistance submission will be used to fund upgrades to the Town's existing wastewater treatment plant and collection system. Proposed upgrades at the Plant include the addition of a peak flow storage tank, an effluent pump station and other miscellaneous process modifications within the Plant. Proposed work within the collection system includes construction of two (2) new pump stations, additional sewer connections for properties located within existing sewer subareas but not currently served, and other miscellaneous collection system improvements.
