Mel McAleer (two goals) got her sixth assist of the game with a feed to Mik White (two goals) for the game-winning goal in overtime as Whitman-Hanson defeated Sandwich, 14-13, in high school girls lacrosse on Monday afternoon.
Whitman-Hanson (6-8, 3-4 Patriot League) led, 8-3, at halftime but Sandwich stormed back to take a 10-8 lead with 10 minutes to play. The Panthers regained their composure, though, to force the extra session.
Also excelling for Whitman-Hanson were Ali Joanis( six goals), Taylor McVeigh (two goals, two assists), Zoe Lydon (goal, two assists) and Riley Bina (goal).
Goalkeeper Kasey Molito made 15 saves for the Panthers.

Archbishop Williams 17, Arlington Catholic 5: Senior Sharon Doherty of Easton (four goals, seven assists) led the Bishops (9-5, 3-3) to a Catholic Central League road win.
East Bridgewater 10, Whitman-Hanson 6: Leading the Vikings (5-7) to the road win were junior attack Seth Child (three goals, two assists), junior midfielders Drew Frost (two goals, assist) and Joey Donahue (goal, three assists), and junior goalkeeper Ryan Trask (14 saves).
Mike Connors scored two goals for the Panthers (4-8). Earning solo tallies were Sean Joanis, Mason Gorman, Scott Byron and Shane Ross, who added three assists.
Cardinal Spellman 11, St. Mary's (Lynn) 6: Senior Jimmy Lysko (Bridgewater) had a goal and two assists for his 200th career point as the Cardinals (10-3) won on the road. Junior Zack Royal (Abington) had three goals and two assists. Also starring for Spellman were Gabe Robison (three goals, assist), Jamaurie James (two goals, two assists), Matt Palin (two goals, assist) and Matt Galligan (12 saves).
Barnstable 10, Bridgewater-Raynham 6: Scoring for Bridgewater-Raynham (8-4, 3-1) were Ben Thorne (two goals), as well as James Hanafin, Jason Vickery, Shane Fries and Jack Sweeney, who each had one. Bryce Shaw and Blake Thorne added assists.
Franklin 10, Oliver Ames 2: Eric LeBlanc and Cullen Gallagher notched goals for the Tigers in their Hockomock League defeat.

East Bridgewater 110, Randolph 25: The Vikings (5-0) recorded their 64th consecutive victory behind first-place finishers Dan Lovell (110-meter high hurdles, triple jump, 400 hurdles), Evan Ross (mile, two-mile), Gio Cacciatore (100, 200) and Mike McBirney (400).
Carver 96, Abington 41: Earning first-pace finishes for the Green Wave (2-5) in the home loss were Robert Stevens (100, 200), Xavier Curney (400 hurdles, 110 hurdles), Cole McMahon (shot put) and Brice Tolan (mile).
Norwell 88, Rockland 48: Winners for the Bulldogs were Devin Donnelly (100-meter hurdles, 18.16), Cornell McWilliams II (long jump, 17 feet, 11 inches) and Dylan Cleaves (discus, 99 feet, 3 inches, and javelin (111-feet).

East Bridgewater 106, Randolph 28: The Vikings (4-1) received first-place finishes from Serenity Sands (100-meter high hurdles, high jump), Molly Barry (mile, two-mile), and Peri Snow (triple jump, 400).
Brockton 3, Barnstable 0: The Boxers (10-3) won in straight sets, 25-23, 25-23 and 28-26. Kenny Burke (12 kills), David Joseph (five kills) and Ivan Guzman (eight kills) were instrumental in the win.
Rockland 5, Carver 0: Sophomores Tyler Beatrice (No. 1 singles) and John Ellard (No. 2 singles) led the Bulldogs to the South Shore League win.
B-R sweeps West Bridgewater: The Trojans got the better of the Wildcats, winning 3-2 in the first contest and 4-1 in the second.
Franklin 5, Oliver Ames 0: The visiting Tigers fell in the Hockomock League matchup.
Oliver Ames 3, Franklin 2: The Tigers won in the Hockomock League with wins from third singles Maura Kiernan (6-4, 6-0), first doubles Tori Wyman/Tate Hadges (6-0, 6-1) and second doubles Olivia Groebe/Kristin Bloumbas (6-2, 5-7, 6-1).
Sacred Heart 3, Sturgis 2: Eighth-grader Kiley Murphy won at No. 3 singles, and the Saints (5-4) swept the doubles with the teams of Emma Keane and Julia Abraham (No. 1) and Abby Morse and Abby Slavik (No. 2). Morse and Slavik are 8-0 on the season.
Bridgewater-Raynham sweeps: The Trojans (7-6) picked up a pair of 4-1 road wins over West Bridgewater. All matches were played as pro sets.
In singles, No. 2 Gabrielle Grunin won twice, 8-1 and 8-0, and No. 3 Virginia Ho won twice, 8-1 and 8-2. The No. 1 doubles team of Hannah Gallagher and Allison Carter also won twice, 8-1 and 8-2. Sadie Antine triumphed, 8-0, at No. 1 singles in the second match, and the No. 2 doubles team of Sorelle LeBerge-Hynes and Grace Richards won, 8-3, in the first match.
